Schoolhouse Books Limited is proud of the fast and efficient delivery service it runs from its distribution centre in Leeds, West Yorkshire. With around 700,000 titles available for sale, we are unable to hold physical stock for them all, however we believe our turnaround time to source and supply titles is competitive and acceptable. Should there be a delay or a title is or becomes unavailable, we will notify you accordingly.
For certain European countries your online order will be taken by our online ordering system in Sterling, because of technical restrictions in current online ordering systems only one currency can be handled within a system. When your order is processed by our distribution centre we are able to invoice in multiple currencies, so your order will appear on your credit card in your local currency. The Sterling price will have been converted to your currency at the exchange rate in force at the time your order was processed.

Returns Policy
At Schoolhouse Books Limited we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may want to return items. If so please review our returns policy below.

Our returns policy
Return of goods
We operate a "no-quibbles" guarantee, which means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, simply return it to us in its original condition within 7 days from date of invoice. We will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item.

If the return is due to an error we have made we will gladly refund the delivery charges. Please see contact details below for advice.

To return an item, please e-mail our Team to request a Returns Form. Please pack the item(s) securely, enclosing the completed form and attaching the address label supplied on the returns form.

For your own protection we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Right to Cancel
In addition, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations you may cancel your order for any reason within seven working days following the day on which you receive the goods. We regret that this does not apply where sealed audio and video recordings or software products have been unsealed.

Please ensure that the goods are returned in their original condition.

You should notify us by requesting and using our standard Returns Form. Post this form with the securely packaged goods back to the Returns Department straight away using a recorded delivery service.

We will reimburse you in full on receipt of the returned goods in our warehouse. You will, however, be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us (unless these goods are faulty or have been delivered by us in error).

Delivery and Postage
Schoolhouse Books Limited charges rates for delivery and postage, dependent on the total order price, and the delivery address.

Please note that we cannot guarantee the stock availability of any order and some items may take longer than quoted.

Our delivery services may require a signature on receipt of the parcel. Our carriers may attempt delivery at any time between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. We therefore advise that you provide a shipping address where you or a representative, can sign for delivery.

Rates of taxes applicable to purchases
VAT or other local taxes are charged at the rate applicable to the country or region of delivery. If you are purchasing online from within the United Kingdom, VAT (value added tax) at the relevant local rate will be applied where applicable. For delivery in the UK, VAT does not apply to books and printed music; however CDs, cassettes, and CD-ROMs attract VAT at 15% (as of 1st December 2008).
